tired...

i can now fully understand what Bilbo Baggins meant when he said,
"...too little butter...spread over too much toast..."

dyw: too greedy to give up some bread...too poor to get more butter...~

母慈子孝

came across this nursing home this morning...
there was a big signboard at the top of its entrance showing,

<<母慈子孝>>

i find it funny and at the same time sad...

is it meant to be a kind reminder to parents?
or is it a sarcasm to the children?

just across the streets, i can see parents happily bringing their young kids to the coffee shop for breakfast...
standing at the side, i can look up and see empty faces of old people peering out of the windows...

i cant imagine myself slogging my entire life and to end up at a nursing home in my old age...
