the child who is too spoilt fails to see the goodness that remains...
the bystanders can only comment and lament

The Neverending Race
at the very beginning...we race to be the first to reach the egg...
subsequently we race with other kids for The Toy...
in the mean time...we also race with our siblings for attention...
during sports day...we race to be the first to cross the finishing line...or at least to not be the last...
in the exam hall...we race to get the limited marks available from the graders...
in our leisure time...we race in racing games...we also watch people race on TV because we cant afford to watch it LIVE...
stepping into society...we race to accumulate enough so that we can be the first to retire...
sometimes...we get so engrossed in racing that we forgot to stop once in a while and enjoy the scenery...many things will pass us by...before we know it...we are not able to stop racing anymore...

Equation for Life
Assets = Liabilities + Equities
Everyone is born with an asset and a liability
asset: TIME
liability: BODY
The asset will be gradually depreciated as it is used to exchange for other assets and also to discharge the liability
other assets: MONEY, PROPERTIES, FAME, POWER, etc...
Liability will be slowly discharged...the process is often hastened or slowed down depending on the actions taken...
2 forms of actions taken: PRESERVATION, DESTRUCTION
There are also some who will invest assets into equities.
equities: RELATIONSHIPS, GOODWILL, CHARITIES, KNOWLEDGE, etc...
Hence, what we want to do with our limited assets depends solely on ourselves...
For some, when their assets are almost used up... they will look back and realise that they didnt really make good use of the assets
For some, when their assets are almost used up... they will look back and realise that they have accumulated much equities and the assets have been well used

angry lady
*a lady went to see a zen master for help regarding her chronic anger...
lady: i need help...i cant control my anger...
zen master: come with me...
*brings the lady to an empty room....shoved her in and locked the room
lady: hey! let me out! you stupid old man!
*zen master just smile and walk away
*1 hour later...
zen master: are you still angry?
lady: i am angry with myself for landing in this circumstance...
*zen master just smile and walk away
*2 hours later...
zen master: are you still angry?
lady: i should not be angry...its such a waste of time and energy...
zen master: not bad...but there is still the concept of anger in your heart
*6 hours later
zen master: are you still angry?
lady: whats that?
zen master: so at last...you are cured!
